About the event
Join us to create a unique basket that comes from your own original innovation. This workshop is suitable for beginners or those who have created a basket before.
If you attended one of our other basket weaving workshops, you know that we worked with round reed. Those baskets had a round bottom and sides. In this October basket weaving workshop, we will be working with flat reed. These baskets will have a square/rectangular bottom and sides. The focus of our basket weaving workshops is to provide you with a basket beginning. Then we encourage you to use your own ideas and individual creativity to design and weave a basket unique to you.
We guide you in how to use the materials that you choose. Materials for you to choose from will be provided. Feel free to bring additional flexible materials to incorporate into your basket. This is a good time…
