About the event
Did you know that there is evidence of inkle loom weaving back as far as the 1500’s?
Inkle looms are used to make long, narrow straps. The weaver sets up the warp (lengthwise threads) then weaves back and forth on the weft (side to side threads).
Here is your chance to learn to use an inkle loom! We have all materials and a few inkle looms for loan. All materials will be provided.
On the first night you will be guided through setting up your warp, and get started on the weaving. Take your loom home and continue working through the week as you have time. Return the second week to learn how to take off your finished strap.
